Volunteering

The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

Help Maintain the Garden

Each Thursday from mid-April to mid October volunteers work maintaining the garden from 9:30am to 11:30am. Meet some new friends and discover the satisfaction that comes from working in the garden. (Other times are also available).

Spring & Fall Clean-up

Each year we have our Annual Earth Day Cleanup in mid-April. Community volunteers and members from the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Southwest Harbor join us as we clean out winter debris from the garden beds. We also recruit fall clean-up volunteers as we prepare the garden for the colder months.

Event and Program Volunteers

From our Annual Butterfly Release Event in July, to gardening classes and weekly programs, we have volunteer opportunities for many skill sets. Please reach out if you would like to be a part of this community treasure.

Join Our Team!

Whether you can join us weekly, or have just a little time to record butterfly observations in the garden once in a while, we would love to hear from you. Filling out this form does not commit you to anything, but we would love to know what you are interested in and how often you may be willing to help. Thank you!
