Plan a School Field Trip
2024 School Field Trips to the garden will be offered on weekdays, beginning September 4th through September 13th. Sessions will be offered at 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM. The weather is usually warmer during this time period which allows students to experience more butterfly activity before cooler temperatures set in later in the month.
The average field trip visit is about an hour.

Plan a Wedding Ceremony
Wedding Ceremonies can be held at the Charlotte Rhoades Park & Butterfly Garden with advance application and permission. The park is available for weddings mid-June to early-October.
Suggested Donation: $500
Local Southwest Harbor Resident Suggested Donation: $250

Plan a Special Group Event
Special Gatherings from showers to private garden tours, family outings, and other group events can be arranged at Charlotte Rhoades throughout the season. We are very mindful of how gatherings may impact the garden habitat when we evaluate requests.
